Our mission is to work for a future in which Rohingya people can live in peace and harmony with other ethnic communities in their ancestral homeland, Arakan, Myanmar.

Working for the Rohingya community

The European Rohingya Council (ERC) works to strengthen the collective voice of the Rohingya, defend their fundamental rights and support peaceful, just and durable solutions to the long-standing Rohingya crisis.

ERC seeks to advance justice, dignity, equal rights, security, education, representation and meaningful participation for Rohingya people in Arakan, in displacement and throughout the global diaspora.

Peaceful and constructive engagement

ERC pursues its mission through peaceful advocacy, dialogue, cooperation and engagement with Rohingya communities, civil society organisations, governments, international institutions and other partners.

Our work is guided by the belief that Rohingya people must be able to participate meaningfully in decisions affecting their identity, rights, homeland and future.

Our objective

Our objective is a future in which Rohingya people can live with equality, security and dignity, contribute fully to society and coexist peacefully with all communities in Arakan and beyond.

ERC works for a just, peaceful and secure future for every Rohingya.
