Our vision is for Rohingya people to live in peace and harmony with other ethnic communities in their ancestral homeland, Arakan, Myanmar.
A future of equal belonging
ERC envisions an Arakan in which the Rohingya are recognised as equal members of society, able to live without persecution, discrimination, fear or forced displacement.
We envision a future in which Rohingya identity is respected, citizenship and equal rights are protected, freedom of movement is guaranteed and every person has access to education, healthcare, livelihoods and meaningful participation in public life.
Coexistence and mutual respect
Our vision is not built upon the exclusion of any community. ERC supports a future in which all communities in Arakan can live in safety, equality and mutual respect.
Durable peace requires justice, recognition, security and institutions that protect every person equally under the law.
Hope for future generations
ERC wants future generations of Rohingya children to grow up with opportunity rather than fear, with education rather than exclusion, and with confidence that their identity and rights will be protected.
Our vision is a peaceful Arakan in which Rohingya can live with dignity, equality, security and hope.
