Rebuilding the Rohingya community is one of the founding pillars of the European Rohingya Council, and higher education is an integral part of that work.

ERC has worked to create paths for Rohingya students to pursue their educational ambitions abroad, particularly in Türkiye, building relationships with government and higher-education institutions that welcome students denied education in Myanmar because of their Rohingya ethnicity.

This Rohingya-language virtual conference discussed students’ journeys in pursuit of higher education, the challenges they faced and their aspirations for rebuilding the Rohingya community.
