Twitter Storm: All Day, August 25
On August 25, the global Rohingya community commemorates the third year of the latest campaigns of Myanmar genocide against Rohingya in Arakan (Rakhine) State of Myanmar.
The genocidal campaigns orchestrated by the Myanmar Armed Forces on August 25, 2017, were witnessed by the world. More than 750,000 Rohingya were forced to flee into neighbouring Bangladesh to seek shelter from widespread massacres, rape and sexual violence, arbitrary arrests, and the destruction of houses, properties and places of worship.
ERC called on people around the world to join the social-media campaign urging world leaders to end the genocide, hold perpetrators accountable and pave the way for Rohingya to return with restored rights and protection.
